As I was browsing through all the galleries I have posted on my blog, I realised that one of my favourite sessions had not yet been posted.(¡!)
I’m talking about Luna & Manu’s casual session at La Muralla Roja. Nothing more and nothing less.
Let’s put it in context; September 2020, a very tough year, after several months of isolation in our homes, most of the weddings were cancelled or postponed, a disaster.
Despite all this, I felt that at least that year I wanted to shoot a couple and enjoy photography for a day and how beautiful it is to photograph a couple in an amazing place. The Red Wall.
Luna and Manu were going to get married that year and much to their regret (and mine), they had to postpone their wedding for a year. They are an amazing couple, super close and fun, and why not, open to accept any worthwhile plan.
When I called Luna to tell her about my idea I didn’t need much time to convince her, hahaha! Her answer was, where and when? hahaha.
I could have chosen many locations but I chose The Red Wall because I thought it was an amazing place. A location with incredible photographic possibilities. La Muralla Roja was built by Ricardo Bofill and the architect literally leads you through a labyrinth of corridors, terraces and staircases that perfectly resembles the architecture of the Mediterranean and North Africa. Undoubtedly one of the most special locations I have ever visited.
No doubt that beautiful adventure was an oasis in that complex year. I wanted to present a more personal selection and I wanted to include in this post, not only photos of the couple but also images of the building itself. You know what a lover I am of lines, hahaha, 😉
At the end of the session you will be able to see the slideshow of Luna and Manu’s wedding that Erika and I photographed in the summer of 2021.
I hope you like it friends!
