Paul & Brodie | New Zealand Wedding

New Zealand Destination wedding.

I perfectly remember the day Paul & Brodie contacted us. First as I received their request, I quickly called Erika and told her; Look, New Zealand!
For a second I thought and said to myself; wow!, a wedding in New Zealand.

We quickly organized a video call to find out more about Paul & Brodie and the wedding they were going to organize in New Zealand.
We soon discovered that Paul & Brodie were a wonderful couple, plus they were Irish wedding photographers and of course they loved our photography because otherwise no one is crazy enough to invite some Spanish photographers to go around the earth to photograph their wedding, hahaha

In fact, Brodie despite living in Northern Ireland with Paul, she is from New Zealand. Big part of her family lives there, that was a important reason to organize her wedding in New Zealand. On the other hand, they wanted to organize more than a traditional one-day wedding. Paul & Brodie wanted to live a unique experience and that is why they invited a group of best friends and direct family to travel to New Zealand from Ireland a week before the wedding day to share a unique tour throughout the North Island of New Zealand.

They enjoy BMX tracking in a sequolas forest, visit a few Natural Parks. Even there was a rafting activiti. To clarify; as you can see, these crazy people didn’t have time to get bored. (And neither do we, hahaha.)

Additionally, the day before the wedding, we asked the couple to visit the Tongariro National Park to take a few casual photos in a very natural way. I loved the idea of photographing the couple in such a volcanic environment. Clearly the place seemed to be another planet.

The wedding day

Imagine my friends, after 5 days in New Zealand, we were super excited to photograph the wedding.
Although Paul & Brodie shared with us all the details about their wedding in New Zealand, we could never imagine what each of their wedding locations were like. They told us that Brodie’s family lived on a typical New Zealand farm surrounded by thousands of cattle. Even, they even told us that Brodie’s family built a barn where they would have dinner and the party. But as you can imagine, until we got there we didn’t understand anything, hahaha.
I feel very lucky to have photographed Paul & Brodie’s wedding and believe me when I tell you that I am really proud that a couple gave us the opportunity to travel to the other side of the world and live an adventure like this.
