Destination wedding in Puglia.
I often tell Erika that Italy is like our second home. It is probably the country we have visited the most and it may seem a bit presumptuous to say that we know Italy quite well. We have not only visited Italy for weddings but it is also one of our favourite destinations as a tourist. Therefore, I really feel at home in Italy.
Receiving an enquiry from a couple is always special but receiving an enquiry for a wedding in Italy is more than special, in this case a destination wedding in Puglia!
From the first moment Erika and I met Claudia and Vincenzo we were very excited. We certainly connected with them from the very first moment.
Claudia and Vincenzo are a wonderful Italian couple (living in London) madly in love. They love their families, their land, art and unique experiences.
From the first call they told us that they were clear about several things about their wedding; Firstly, their wedding would be a big party. Secondly, it would not be a classic wedding. Third, there would be no protocol. In other words, they wanted to live the best experience in their lives.
For these reason they chose Villa Carafa, one of the best wedding venues in Puglia to enjoy a unique experience. In fact,
For Erika and me it was an experience to immerse ourselves once again in the Italian culture and to be able to photograph a wedding that we will never forget. Every moment was better than the last and to be able to photograph a couple (and their families) that didn’t stop smiling all day long was something really beautiful.
Claudia & Vincenzo got married at Villa Carafa. One of the best wedding venues in Puglia.
Erika and I landed at Bari airport the day before wedding, where Vincenzo was waiting for us.
The first thing we wanted to do was to visit Villa Carafa because Vincenzo and Claudia were going to celebrate their wedding there. For us it is very important to get to know the wedding venue before the wedding to be aware of all the photographic possibilities of the location.
Vincenzo showed us each of the different locations where they were going to organize the ceremony, the banquet and of course the party.
While Vincenzo was making last minute calls, we took a walk around to see how impressive it was.
